Bexar County Medical Examiner has identified 12 of the 13 dead from San Antonio flooding

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has now identified all but one of the 13 people who died in last Thursday’s flash flooding in San Antonio.
Most of the dead were found along Beitel Creek in Northeast San Antonio, according to a statement from County officials. One of the people who perished was found near Callaghan Road and Highway 90 and another was discovered in the Wurzbach Parkway area.
The victims’ ages range from 28 to 67.
These are the deceased so far identified by the medical examiner and where their bodies were recovered:
- Derwin Anderson, male, 34 — Callaghan Road and Highway 90
- Roseann Cobb, female, 41 — Wurzbach Parkway area
- Carlos Valdez III, male, 67 — Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel Road
- Martha De La Torre Rangel, female, 55 — Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel Road
- Victor Manuel Macias Castro, male, 28 — Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel Road
- Matthew Angel Tufono, male, 51 — Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel Road
- Christine Gonzalez, male, 29 — Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel Road
- Rudy Garza, male, 61 — Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel Road
- Josue Pinadelatorre, male, 28 — Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel Road
- Andrew Sanchez, male, 60 — Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel Road
- Brett Riley, male, 63 — Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel Road
- Stevie Richards, male, 42 — Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel Road
County officials said they working to identify the remaining victim.
